Another way to enjoy your daily family meal with tofu. The vegetarian version of Vietnamese meatfoaf has a moist texture and full of flavor.

  • Combine tofu, fermented soy bean sauce, fermented bean curd and all seasoning ingredients in a food processor. Pulse to process into a smooth mixture.
  • Combine the mixture with the woodear mushroom and mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture into a bowl and flatten the surface with a spoon. Steam for about 15-20 minutes.
  • In a small bowk, mix tapioca starch with water and annatto oil. Brush the mixture evenly on the surface of tofu loaf. Continue steaming for a another 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
