  • Steam the taro for 15 minutes until fork tender. Blanch the minced mushroom in boiling water and squeeze off excess water.
  • in a large mixing bowl, mash taro with a fork and combine with mushroom, lemongrass, shallot, stock powder, sugar, and vegan oyster sauce. Mix well till incorporated. Then divide and shape into small balls (about 1 teaspoon size).
  • Deep fry the balls till golden brown. Serve with chili sauce.
