This is a very elegant and imperial dessert that used to be served to the Emperors in Hue – the ancient capital of Vietnam. The making this sweet soup shows off the patience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese women
- 150 g lotus seeds soaked
- 300 g Longan
- 1 liter water
- 1 bowl ice water
- 1 pinch salt
- Vanilla or jasmine flower
- 200 g rock sugar crushed
Notes:
- Traditionally, jasmine flower is added on top to bring a tender aroma to the elegant sweet soup.
Nếu có hoa nhài thì cho vào thế vani để món chè thêm hương dịu dàng thanh thoát. - It can be served hot or chilled. You can also add some crushed rice and it would feel really cool going down your throat.
Món này ăn nóng hay lạnh đều ngon. Khi ăn thấy mát lạnh cổ họng, cùi nhãn giòn ngọt, cắn vào hạt sen bùi bùi. Chè ngọt mát và rất thơm.
