Instructions
  • Break 2 eggs into the bowl and beat well. Season with a teaspoon fish sauce and a pinch of pepper. Heat the medium pan on high heat, add some oil and sauté a few slices of shallots until fragrant. Pour in the mixture to make an omelette.
  • Line the cutting board with cling film and lay out the laver. Put half a cup of rice in the center and spread evenly. To make the rice taste better, you can sprinkle some rice mix seaweed over it.
  • Fold the lettuce leave in half and place on top of the rice, then continue with 1 slice of Vietnamese beef sausage or pork ham and 2 slices of tomatoes.
  • Fold the omelet into a square piece and stack on. Add the pickles, cucumber, pork floss and topped with the remaining half a cup of rice.
  • Fold the 4 corners of the laver to meet in the center. Also gather the edges of the cling film and compress with your hands to help the laver stick to the rice.
  • Dab some sesame oil on the knife to keep it from sticking, then cut the rice sandwich in half.
