Boiled Pork Trotter is another must-have topping for a bún đậu mắm tôm tray.
- 1 pork trotter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp shallots smashed
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp stock powder
- Remove the bone from the pork leg.
- Lay the pork trotter out on a flat surface. Season with garlic powder, pepper, fish sauce, smashed shallots and stock powder. Roll it up and tie into a log (make sure the pork skin cover the log).
- Steam or boil the pork leg with some salt smashed shallots and sliced onion for about 45mins to 1hr depending on the size.
- Transfer to a bowl of ice cold water. Leave to cool completely. Then, chill in the fridge for a few hours before cutting into thin slices to serve.
