The stir-fried mantis shrimp with garlic butter is a harmonious blend of the savory taste of mantis shrimp, pork fat, and garlic, along with the natural sweetness of fresh water spinach. Infused with the aroma of melted butter and toasted sesame seeds, each piece of mantis shrimp is evenly coated with spices, creating a flavorful, rich, and nutritious meal.
- 300 g mantis shrimp
- 200 g water spinach
- 200 g pork fat
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 15 g butter
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp seasoning powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 chili
- Clean the pork fat and dice it finely. Heat a pan over medium heat, add the diced pork fat, and fry until golden and crispy. Remove the pork fat and set aside. Then add minced garlic to the pan, fry until golden, remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, melt 7g of butter, then add the mantis shrimp, and fry until both sides are lightly golden. Remove from the pan.
- Remove the stems of the water spinach. In the same pan, add the remaining butter, fish sauce, water, sugar, seasoning powder, toasted sesame seeds, and chopped chili. Stir well and cook until the mixture slightly thickens, then add the water spinach. Stir-fry until the water spinach is wilted, then add the mantis shrimp, stir well, and cook over high heat.
- Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with the fried pork fat and garlic on top, then serve.
