In the finals of the Rising Chef Challenge 2023 organised by Vietcetera x Mastercard, I had the honor of serving as a judge and indulging in the unique flavors created by talented young chefs. Witnessing how these young chefs have taken Vietnamese cuisine to new heights filled me with immense pride and admiration. I consider myself fortunate to have savored each and every dish presented in this challenge, which showcased the rapid development of Vietnamese culinary artistry.

It is truly difficult to put into words the sensation I experienced as I witnessed these gifted chefs crafting extraordinary and innovative dishes, breathing new life into Vietnamese cuisine. By skillfully blending tradition and modernity, they not only provided a remarkable and impressive dining experience but also evoked emotions through the nostalgic stories embedded within their creations.

Using mandatory ingredients such as green mussels and pork, these young chefs transformed humble dishes like braised pork with coconut, cassava rice, stir-fried snails with coconut milk, and corn spring rolls into refined culinary masterpieces. Their creations demonstrated the strength and potential of Vietnamese cuisine as a whole, as well as the exceptional talent possessed by the young chefs of Vietnam.
