Recipe: Red Cabbage Salad - Gỏi bắp cải tím

Ingredients
- 1/4 red cabbage cut into thin strips
- 10 prawns
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- garlic minced
- Chili minced
- pepper crushed
- roasted peanuts crushed
- Vietnamese herbs mint/ vietnamese mint
Instructions
- Cut a red cabbage into really thin strips. You will have 3 cups of shredded red cabbage.
- Dry-fry 10 prawns in a hot pan without any oil until the prawns turn orange. Peel the prawns, cut in half lengthwise and remove the black lines.
- Make the salad dressing: Mix together 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp fish sauce, 2 tbsp lime juice. Stir well. Also add some minced garlic and chili.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the shrimps with 1 tbsp of salad dressing and some pepper.
- Then add the shredded red cabbage and drizzle moree dressing to your taste. Give it a good toss. Add some of your favourite herbs like Vietnamese mints or round mints.
- Garnish with some crushed roasted peanuts. Yummy.
