You might have known another dish with pork and eggs that is pretty popular in Vietnamese cooking : thit kho tau. Caramelized pork bits and quail eggs is another version from Central Vietnam with more concentrated flavor. Give it a try and you will for sure fall in love!
- 500 g pork belly cut into ½ inch (1cm) strips
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 10 quail eggs
- 3 tbsp fish sauce
- 300 ml coconut juice
- 1 tbsp minced garlic and shallot
- 1 tbsp sesame
